I absolutely love a Lake Oak Meadows wedding! I have photographed two now, with 4 more on the books for this year! Everything is all in one place, the bridal suite has beautiful mirror and chandeliers for that classic look, and there is an endless amount of photo ops around the entire venue, including at night!
Brooke and Garrett tied the knot on February 8th, and it was definitely not a winter wedding. The weather was perfect and sun was shining. They were all smiles when we arrived, and even ahead of schedule which was beyond amazing. They had their first look and Brooke even had a first look with her dad which was such a sweet moment.
Everything was honestly so stunning, and you could see how loved they were by all their friends and family. They timed everything out so they could have hours to drink and dance, and that is exactly what they did! I enjoyed seeing everyone out mingling, enjoying the fire, and partying on the dance floor!
During the reception, when the fire in the pond was lit, Brooke really wanted night photos, and I love them at this venue! How could you not take photos at night with the fire in the pond?? So I set up some flashes and I stole them from the party for about 5 minutes. That is all we needed to create some epic night time shots! So keep that in mind for your wedding, whether it is at Lake Oak Meadows or another venue. You cannot have too many photos of you and your spouse, and variation is key! That is one thing you will never say you have, is enough photos of you guys on your wedding day. Happy Planning!
