Sunset Beach Engagement Photos in San Diego

I am in LOVE with Kelsi and Ryan’s beach engagement photos and am so excited to share them with you all!!

These two are from Vegas and are getting married this coming year! And they’ve been through a lottt since being together. They decided on the wedding venue they chose because it’s the venue that Ryan’s mom had gotten to visit before she actually passed away recently. Their wedding is going to be so so special because she got to see it.❤️

The Session at Torrey Ppines Gliderport

We went to Torrey Pines Gliderport in San Diego, which is a glider airport in the La Jolla neighborhood! It’s such a gorgeous spot for engagement photos – I mean just look at the sunlight we got!! We started up on the cliffs and captured them playing around as the sun began to set. They were suchhhh naturals in front of my camera and it was SO easy!! Then we walked down about a million stairs to get to the beach to end our shoot.

A Little Somethin’ Different

And a little backstory behind the photo at the top of this blog post (one of my faves ever):

I typically only use my drone for weddings and only when I film. I’ve never pulled it out for photography but I decided I wanted to do something a little different during this shoot. I knew we were going to be down at the beach to end the session, and I had a vision for an aerial photo.

I let Kelsi and Ryan know that I don’t use my drone for photography, sooo this could be very hit or miss. But they were all about it and jumped on this idea! And ohhhhhh I’m so happy with how it turned out!

Aerial gives a WHOLE different element and perspective (duh) and it turned out exactly what I had pictured in my head before even starting the shoot!

Thank you to these two for such a fun evening on the beach!!
