Sarah and Marc were such a blast to hang out with for their Joshua Tree engagement photos!

We actually met when I was the videographer at Sarah’s best friend’s wedding a few years back. I happened to take an iPhone photo of them at some point, and took a shot at the bar with them. Little did I know that shot would create a connection later on!

Sarah and Marc finallyyy got engaged recently and reached out to me to do their engagement photos! We went out to the gorgeous Joshua Tree National Park, one of the best southern California engagement photo locations. I love that I only live two hours from the park!

We started the session off with shots and Redbulls that they bought me (my couples know me so well!) and had so much fun roaming around! These two brought the fiiiire to the desert with their stylish outfits and natural chemistry in front of the camera🔥 Speaking of fire (I like to think I’m funny), we ended their session in Marc’s firefighter uniform, which was something Sarah had a specific vision for! Those photos turned out so cute and I loved incorporating a part of their lives into their engagement sesh.

Joshua Tree Photography Permit Information

Since Joshua Tree is a national park, a permit is required to photograph your engagement session there! You can find this information at the bottom of this webpage, but here’s a summary:

The permit you need is the Special Park Use permit, which costs $120
To get the permit, you need to apply through the NPS Form 10-930 Short Form.
Apply far ahead of time to make sure you receive your permit before your session!
